Using Lalela's Music
Feel free to use our music in your iTunes or other mp3 player, and share with your friends. If you register with our site, you can download mp3 files of our music freely. You can edit these tracks into rough cuts of your film, TV or Internet projects for your own viewing.
If you want to use a track for broadcast on film, TV or the Internet, or for any other commercial purposes, you must purchase a license to do so. If you do not, you are in contravention of copyright law and may be subject to penalties.
You may purchase one of two different types of licenses:
- A blanket license
- which allows you to use ALL the tracks in the library
- An individual license
- which allows you to use just ONE track from the library. Just click on ‘Request a License’ when you’re listening to a track.
You can also request a license by sending an email to [click to show email]. Or call us: USA: 1-888-LALELA1 South Africa: +27 21 481 4579
When you have purchased a license, you can also download broadcast quality WAV files of our tracks, as well as multiple pre-cut durations – 5 second, 15 second, 30 second, 60 second and longer versions.
MUSIC CUE SHEETS
Once you have licensed our music and are using it in your project, the law requires you to fill out music cue sheets and submit them to the local performing right society (BMI, SAMRO, ASCAP etc.)
On the cue sheets, composer name, track name, and the duration of the music used should be listed.
You can download a sample cuesheet and further information here
When you are submitting cue sheets to the performing right society, please also send us a copy at [click to show email].
